Box Sizes

The bigger the boxes the better. If there is a lot of smaller like shoe or nick-knack boxes. The time to complete the move will be longer. We cannot be responsible for this extra time if boxes are not packed properly. Please ask any questions prior to booking a move with I Care Movers. We are here to help.

Please use the tables below to estimate the number of hours you may need for your move. Every move is different and has many different situations to complete a move safely and efficiently.

Crew size

Multiple locations drive time included in the cost of your move from point A – B.

Carry distance to the truck from your home or business will add more time for your move as well.

Stairs

Please add roughly 1 hour for time to move and set-up per bedroom that is upstairs.

The times to complete a move will depend on how boxes are packed and ready. If the beds are broken down and mirrors taken off of dressers. Washer/Dryer unhooked. All things packed and stacked 4- 5 feet high with similar sizes on top of each other....1.5 with 1.5 and 3.0 on top of 3.0 and so on....this way when we load them up on our dollies to bring them to the truck they do not fall over with possible damage to the items inside. Fragile boxes should be kept separate from the heavy boxes…keep them in a safe corner or room. Keep doorways and hallways clear so to be safe for everyone. The more prepared you are the faster I Care Movers can efficiently move you and your family. By making this happen, money is saved and the “settling in” process can begin.
